This is your invitation to participate in the 72nd CAPM&R Annual Scientific Meeting in Montebello, QC. We invite you to look through the prospectus that details many unique opportunities.

Explore the high-calibre and innovative physiatry research generated in Canada. Integrate the relevance of Competence By Design to your independent practice, and its impact across the entire spectrum of medical education from undergraduate training to Continuing Professional Development.

The year’s conference will feature a multi-disciplinary scientific program, renowned guest speakers, an extensive two-day trade show and a great social program. It is a unique opportunity to update your skills and knowledge and to network with Healthcare professionals and students with a focus on physical medicine and rehabilitation.

At the end of the conference, participants will be able to:

  1. Discuss current guidelines and updates to management of concussion across different contexts.
  2. Identify current options and new innovations in the interventional treatment of cervical spine pain.
  3. Discuss emerging techniques for using peripheral nerve ultrasound in diagnosis and management of peripheral nerve conditions.
  4. Reflect on the exemplary research and scholarship conducted in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation across Canada.

We offer many levels of sponsorship, reflecting all sizes of organization. Whether you wish to offer sponsorship with your name only to offer support, or wish to be a cornerstone sponsor, we have a sponsorship level to accommodate all budgets.

We are also looking for proposals for co-development of a session.  These can be submitted here: https://capmr.ca/call-for-workshops/. There are several timeslots available in the program (draft is posted on the website).  Co-development is defined by the Royal College as the process by which two or more organizations — at least one of which must be a physician organization — prospectively collaborate to develop and implement an accredited educational activity, learning resource or tool.  The physician organization (CAPM&R) has ultimate authority over all decisions and is accountable to ensure that the administrative, educational, and ethical accreditation standards for group learning activities are met.  The co-developed sessions will be branded as co-developed with your logo and CAPM&R and will be planned to achieve scientific integrity, objectivity, and balance

Thanks to great feedback from the vendors during the 2023 conference, we have listened to the requests and shorted the number of days the exhibit hall is open and increased the dedicated exhibit hall hours.

Engagement with delegates kicks off on Tuesday night (following the pre-courses) during the Welcome reception from 1800-2100, recognized as prime networking time. Wednesday is the focal point for your exhibit, starting at 10:30 with the morning break. The exhibit hall will feature appetizers and coffee from 12:15 to 12:45, followed by lunch at 12:45, fostering networking over a sit down luncheon with the delegates. The afternoon break is scheduled from 2:45 to 3:15, and the last opportunity for interaction is the social cocktail hour from 5:00 to 6:00 in the exhibit hall.  You can then tear-down. Wednesday evening is also a NO-HOST dinner, allowing you to arrange an event or dinner for the delegates. Consider staying for the entire conference to maximize networking opportunities, or propose a co-developed session, breakfast symposium, or social event.

The total unopposed time with delegates is 6 hours.

Our conference is a vital component of our specialty. It is an important source of cutting edge new information, best practice approaches, staying up to date with current standards, and of course, it solidifies the collegiality of our members.

In order to offer the best possible meeting, with high standards, guest lecturers and keynote speakers we rely heavily on sponsorship. Training the next generation of PM&R is very important to us, therefore we subsidize a large number of residents and medical students to ensure that they can afford to attend.

Exhibitors are essential as it offers an opportunity to advertise your product and interact with over 200 physicians expected to attend from Canada, USA and Internationally.
If you wish to sponsor the meeting, we invite you to visit https://capmr.ca/events/capmr-2024_asm/ and review the prospectus detailing the level benefits, what’s new and how we intend to offer you the best exposure to thank you for your support.
