Member Types
- Certified specialists in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation currently practicing in Canada.
- Active Members with CAPM&R also have access to annual membership with ISPRM and AAP at no additional cost.
- Physicians qualified to practice in Canada who are not certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation but have significant clinical or research involvement.
- Physician Associates with CAPM&R also have access to annual membership with ISPRM and AAP at no additional cost.
- Non-physician health professionals (nursing, physical therapy, etc.) or researchers who have significant clinical or research involvement in PM&R.
- Certified specialists in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residing and practicing outside Canada.
- Individuals enrolled in a foreign postgraduate (residency) program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation that is not approved by the RCPSC but is recognized internationally.
- Physicians currently enrolled in an RCPSC-approved Canadian postgraduate residency program in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, or a recognized fellowship program in PM&R.
- Residents have the opportunity to register for membership with ISPRM and AAP at an additional cost.
- Medical students interested in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
- As this is a no cost membership, medical students will have some limitations to their rights and privileges within the association.
- REQUIRED: Students must include a note from their medical school administration that attests to their enrollment in a medical degree program. Please email your documentation to info@capmr.ca after registration; it will be reviewed before your account is activated.
- Physiatrists in good standing who have formally retired from the practice of medicine.
- Retired Associates may register for membership with ISPRM and AAP at an additional cost.
