MR Imaging of Peripheral Nerves: Highlighting the Techniques, Indications and Limitations.
During this presentation, advances in MRI techniques enabling high resolution imaging of the peripheral nerves will be discussed. Imaging appearances of a variety of peripheral nerve disorders will be described with an emphasis on traumatic, inflammatory and entrapment neuropathies. Limitations and potential utility of MR neurography in clinical practice will be presented.
At the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Describe the MRI techniques utilized for imaging evaluation of peripheral nerves
- Discuss the imaging features of peripheral nerve disorders
- Describe the benefits and limitations of MR neurography in assessment of patients with peripheral nerve disease
